38. Bailter Space: Votura

From 1994, here’s Votura, the fourth LP from New Zealand’s Bailter Space.

If there’s something you can say for sure about Bailter Space, they’re certainly consistent. They don’t go anywhere new or differnet with this album, but it’s solid, loud, noisy, shoe-gazer stuff. If that’s your thing, and it was mine at the time, you can’t go wrong with this one. It’s hard to say for sure, because things start to sound a lot alike, but this might be their best album all in all. I’ll hang onto this, mostly for the sake of just having it around, but I don’t really know if I’ll go back to it anytime soon.
