You remember the warm days and the warm beer, maybe you were standing outside listening to the big hit from this album. The early ’90s were quite a time. It seems like so long ago. It’s easy to make fun.
Bigger, Better, Faster, More! showed up in 1992 and was everywhere by the middle of 1993 on the strength of “What’s up?” I have a hard time thinking I actually liked that song, but I’m sure I did, and just didn’t want to admit it. The Mrs. brought this CD back into my life. Here we are now, 25 years later. I was expecting very little from this CD, and boy did it deliver!
Actually, the first couple of songs weren’t bad. I was pleasantly surprised. Was I actually going like this album? I felt really lucky that I was smart enough to put all of the CDs by bands whose names start with numbers first. I’d get to be done with this one right away. When I dive in, I dive in. It wasn’t until “What’s Up?” comes along at track three that things take a turn to the south.
This album is pretty crummy, but could easily have been much worse, but Bigger, Better, Faster, More! wasn’t completely terrible. I’m sure there are much worse CDs to come. Still, there’s no real reason to hang onto this one.
